A lot of customers ask me how I got into this business. I have been dealing with these pests for almost 8 years now. I was a tech for a pest control company back in 2003. One of the first jobs that I went on with my “trainer” was a gopher control job. Back then I had no idea of how to treat them let alone correct a guy who has been doing this for several years now. We wandered around the property aimlessly poking holes in the ground and putting bait anywhere we could. Needless to say I had to go back to the house about a dozen times doing the same routine with no results. Eventually the owner of the property did not renew the contract for lack of results. I think back then we charged the guy over $700.00 for a few months of service. I can't remember the customers name but I drive by his property all of the time thinking to myself, " Man if I could only work for you now". I now have the SOLUTION!!!

Gophers may be on your property and you not even know it, until it is to late. Gophers dig deep tunnels under the ground and even under the foundation of your house. They cause damage to your foundation and even allow other pest to invade.
Pest Control is my back ground so these are a few examples of how gophers can destroy your house or at least help cause a deeper problem such as TERMITES. I have been to several homes where their foundation was cracked by gopher tunneling, allowing termites to enter. Some homes I have had to empty several 5 gal. buckets full of dirt before I was even able to treat the bath traps for termites. Other customers' termite contracts were void in certain areas due to the disturbance of the chemical barrier (dirt & chemical bonded) placed around a homes exterior foundation. Gophers also eat the roots on your favorite trees and shrubs. On many occasions I have been to a home where whole shrubs have been sucked into the ground. No your plant is not shrinking, and no you are not going crazy either. It is literally being eaten from the bottom up. Most properties that I have treated have had gopher problems for years. The original gophers that inhabited your property are kinda like the Adam and Eve of gophers. They start with a pair and end up multiplying over the years in to double digits fast. A proper control program must be in place to take your yard back before it is to late. This can take a couple of weeks at the least, and several aggressive months in high populations. No two properties are the same, so a proper inspection must be done to see what method will work for you. On average 10-12 gophers will be on 1 acre, but in high populations there may be as many as 20. For example at one of my properties that I am currently treating, I bagged 43 gophers on their 2 acre lot. That is not counting the 26 moles that have been trapped also.
